The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a service department that supports the work of the Federal Parliament. DPS is the principal support agency for the Australian Parliament House.

Canonical Solutions developed and implemented a data management framework to support DPS to effectively manage parliamentary data. The framework delivered the necessary capabilities (people, process and tools) to establish governance, stewardship and inventory of the parliamentary data assets.

The outcomes of the project included:

• enhanced quality and integrity of the data, 

• information available on demand with accuracy, 

• consistent business language across the whole organization, 

• improved efficiency on design and build of IT solutions​
